Mentorship on Cardano
Overview
From 2021 to 2022 I took OneUpOneDown into the Cardano blockchain ecosystem. The question: how do you build a culture of trusted relationships in a decentralised community, and how do you reward mentors for the value they create?
What we did
- Cardano Ambassador. Joined the Cardano Ambassador programme as a Meetup Organiser.
- Project Catalyst. As technical lead I proposed and delivered three funded Catalyst projects in Fund 8: AI mentor-matching software, an automated mentor-matching tool for new member onboarding, and a white paper on a Mentorship Incentivization DAO.
- Women in Web3 pool. Launched a dedicated mentoring pool to bring more women into Cardano and Web3.
- Decentralised mentorship protocol. Worked with James Dunseith of Gimbalabs on smart contracts for a mentorship protocol on Cardano.
- Cardano Summit 2022. Presented OneUpOneDown in Lausanne at "Impact as an Opportunity for Cardano" and ran a workshop on designing a mentor-matching protocol and tokenised models.
